Relationship star delta or star-delta or wye-delta is indeed quite popular as the choice of applications that require the consumption of a small current while the start of the motor is turned on but has some drawbacks that make it less an option after the development of reduced-voltage starter that leibh better as soft starter. The only reason for the choice of this starter was a cheaper cost than other reduced voltage starter.

The first picture. I don't understand how it could switch from Y to delta. I think this picture is for reverse the rotation.
ReplyDeletethank you sir response. This system is controlled manually. when K1 ON, the contactor Y connected. then when K2 ON delta contactor connected and disconnected Y contactor. in fact it is rather used on a forward-reverse system, but this only explains the basic concepts.
